The Canadian price, explained

US reviews quote US prices. Here's what changes by the time equipment reaches a Canadian door, and what we account for in every plan.

Customs fees depend on the store

Rogue Canada pays customs. REP's Canadian store covers duties on REP-brand gear only. A Canadian retailer has none. The same rack can cost very different amounts at your door.

Plates aren't priced the same way

Some brands price bumper plates per pair, others per plate. Compare raw prices and a set can look half the price it really is. We compare like for like.

Sales tax ranges from 5% to 15%

Alberta pays 5% GST. Nova Scotia pays 14% HST, and the other Atlantic provinces 15%. On a $5,000 gym, that's a $500 difference.
